The Alhambra Pumpkin Run & Halloween Fest is an annual one-day event featuring a 5K/1K Race, and a Halloween Festival that includes a vast multitude of activities and attractions (such as guided trick-or-treating, multiple contests, a farmers market, kids zone, etc). I was tasked with taking their existing, recognizable pumpkin icon and creating an updated, comprehensive branding system for the event and all of it’s marketing collateral. I created a series of Halloween-themed vector illustrations that referenced various festival attractions, and created a logo lockup that brought in elements from the City of Alhambra’s historic signage. With these pieces I designed print and web fliers/posters, and a series of illustrated social posting graphics, merchandise and a street banner. I also created an additional corresponding look for the costume contest and trick-or-treating portion of the event (that had previously been separately run). Then, I went on to organize all the information into an extensive 3-part map that also included schedules and other event information.
